Joe took up golf at the late age of 15, at a local 9 hole municipal golf club called Roundhay GC. In the space of 3 years he cut his handicap from 36 to 4. Continuing his passion to improve, he joined Moor Allerton Golf club, an ex European tour and current Europro venue.
With no real junior background, Joe came through the ranks under the radar putting in promising performances at a regional and national level. He attained caps for both the Leeds Mens squad and Yorkshire mens squad. In the hunt for continued improvement, Joe attended a Golf college in Lancashire called Myerscough, affiliated with University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN).
Whilst graduating with 2:1 Ba (Hons) Science Degree in Golf Performance and Coaching and becoming a better golfer, he played for the University of Central Lancashire Golf’s first team, collecting accolades such as Player of the year and British University Premier League Champions.
Post study, Joe travelled to the Middle East to work as an intern at Abu Dhabi Golf Club, where he was further able to greatly hone in on his game. After returning to England Joe had Local and National Amateur success, collecting 2 wins and setting 2 new course records.
With a handicap of +3, Joe turned Professional and played on the MENA Tour and The Europro. With his first Victory on tour and numerous top tens, he is quickly learning the trade of Tour Golf. With sights set on winning on the European Tour and in the Majors, Joe is working extremely hard on his game both on and off the course and is looking forward to the 2017 season.
